Lazy Days...

Paul and I packed up Friday afternoon to enjoy a fun filled weekend at our sister-in-law's place on Lake Martin. We didn't know what a treat we were in for! Look how smooth the water is...yes, that's P's boat (it couldn't miss a weekend on the water) :)

The birthday boy enjoying the weather and boat ride. Madison celebrated his 4th birthday with lots of Iron Man paraphernalia at the lake with family and friends on Saturday.

Enjoying watching Heith from the boat wakeboarding...he could be a professional!
Ha! He even has the outfit!

Paul getting rigged up to try wakeboarding for the first time...

LOOK...He made it! He got up on the first try!

I'm sure you're wondering if I tried wakeboarding...and yes, I did! I say I did a pretty good job--more pictures to come later. We will just say I got lots of practice.

What a gorgeous baby!

It seems that everywhere I go another person I know is preggo! My good friend, Tarah Shoemaker welcomed her 2nd precious baby into the world last week. Ella Grace was born June 22nd at 12:30pm and weighed 8 lbs 2 oz. I think she's a cutie!

Baby Bucket List

Hasn't everyone had even just a few things that they waited, or will wait, to have kids for? Or am I just a dreamer...?

Baby fever is a REALITY in my world partly because my BFF is pregnant!! I'm so excited for her!
I'm all about pressuring myself about having kids....seriously...So, I am OFFICIALLY sharing my
"Baby Bucket List" with you guys:

couple's small group
small group w/women
run the Mercedes 1/2 marathon finished 2:36 on 2/14/2010
Health Insurance for baby
Paul & I attend a marriage conf. at church
join coth (church of the highlands)
Goal weight (5 more pounds)
baby fund (started)
new vehicle (Dec. 2010)
baby hope chest (started)
spend 17 weeks at my parents building a new home: we've made it halfway!
Italy fund (started)

italics = In progress!

I've told only a small handful of people about my Baby Bucket List, because I usually get a snort and a comment like oh you don't need to do all that before having kids. I'm not sure if I don't like hearing that because they're right, or if it's because I don't like being told I shouldn't do something.

I know not everyone does it like this, and most people don't put off having kids until they've checked things off their list...but its ok that I do it, right?

MOVE THAT BUS--

I feel like I should be yelling "MOVE THAT BUS". Everyday I feel like we are getting closer and closer! I do this for a living and I am STILL amazed by this whole process. Maybe it's because I know my builder, very well! Brick was delivered today--we are waiting on a few windows to be delivered this week then they'll be little worker bees!

TBC...

a BLOG of ice cream

Monday evening we met up with our neighbors for a fun night of planning our 1st annual Beach Trip. The night started at the Ross Bridge pool with Mr. P's sandwhiches for everyone. Turns out there isn't a lot of planning with us all--we know we are going to shop, tan, eat and the guys will golf and fish some! I'm looking forward to some R&R with some great friends. We are SO blessed!

Lillian talked us all into getting ice cream...Yum Yum!

Kitchens...

In between work I've been daydreaming about my NEW kitchen. I really like things to feel airy and cozy at the same time. So, after looking through decor blogs and magazines, and wandering around ikea's website I stumbled across some kitchens that I just fell in love with.
And a few runners up:

I really like gray kitchens--

Can you tell I'm excited? Which is your favorite?

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Up, Up, AWAY!

It's looking good so far! I'm meeting with my AWESOME cabinet designer (Ann Boswell with Counter Dimensions in Pelham) today to finalize everything!

Madison's Shoes?

We spent Memorial Day celebrating with Heith, Aimee & Madison! It was nonstop fun--When we got there Madison recruited me to play Frisbee. After I gave up we played baseball and he basically kept making me run to get the ball since he pretty much NEVER missed! :)
Looks like I will have some ball park time in my future.

By now you've noticed Madison has on my shoes! Ha! I was on the search for some chartreuse thong sandals and these were perfect! So, perfect Madison thought they were pretty COOL too!
"Uncle" Tarayn is the best! :)

Coco and Lollie catching a few rays of sunshine

Life at the parents has actually been a lot of fun! Paul and I are celebrating our 6 week anniversary (back at my parents house) today. We have until the middle of September before our home will be ready for us to move into. But life on the FARM has been pretty eventful!

We've enjoyed coming home and relaxing on the back porch--Paul has LOTS of cable to watch and I have actually (for those of you who know me well) settled down and enjoyed
Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood.
Check this out:

I just LOVE Liam and Stella!

Happy Birthday Kyle Thomas!

Kyle turned ONE this Memorial Day!

This little booger butt was stepping in his Elmo cake...and slinging Birthday Cake everywhere!
Kyle, loves Elmo!
Amber, his momma made him this Elmo Birthday Cake!
It was too cute!
I can't believe it's already been a year since this presh-ious baby was born. WOW has he changed our lives.
